WSU Extension Master Gardeners discussed earwigs with shoppers at Yakima's Rotary Pavilion Farmers Market on July 11, 2026. The conversation focused on the insect's abundance in Yakima Valley gardens this season.

The Master Gardeners, including Laura Willett, addressed concerns about earwigs' presence in home gardens. They provided practical advice for gardeners dealing with the insects, which have become particularly noticeable this summer.

The WSU Extension Yakima office regularly hosts educational sessions at local farmers markets to help residents with gardening challenges. These sessions typically occur on weekends during the growing season.
