Labor Day Closures, Traffic Projects Impact Yakima

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

Most Yakima City services, including City Hall, Public Works, and Y-PAC, will close for Labor Day on Monday, September 7. Emergency services and Yakima Transit will remain operational. The closures follow standard holiday schedules for city facilities.

Two major infrastructure projects will continue to impact traffic through September. Chestnut Avenue from 19th to 22nd Avenue will be closed to through traffic through September 4. Meanwhile, 32nd Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard will see partial closures from August 24 to 28 for water system upgrades. Both projects allow local access but require detours for through traffic.
